The spectacular three-tiered contemporary architecture award-winning Kogod Lobby with a floor-to-ceiling backlit semi-circular glass wall focal point offers an ideal and dramatic reception event venue placement opportunity for up to 350 guests, as well as for clients additionally hosting presentation, award, or film screening programs in an adjacent modern state-of-the-art 265-seat intimate European courtyard-style Main Theatre space.
The Woolly Mammoth Theatre also provides both a flexible 1500 square foot Melton Rehearsal Hall function space accommodating up to 150 guests in a variety of seating and usage configurations, including tiered seating for 100 on risers and a compact and well-lit carpeted Meyer Foundation conference room versatile enough to fulfill a variety of room set-ups for both smaller or contiguous meeting uses. Both auxiliary spaces, discreetly located on the lobby lower level, each offer a wall of glass and open and transparent environments with optional privacy drapes to enclose the facility rooms.
A complete range of audio-visual capabilities and resources -- including lighting, sound, projection, and rigging, as well as on-site dedicated technical staff -- are available to meet any event specification and requirement in a fully professional environment.
Located at the center of Washington’s West End downtown cultural and entertainment district and the area’s vibrant collection of restaurants, shops, museums, and public space destinations, the facility is situated between both the Archives/Navy Memorial/Penn Quarter and Gallery Place/Chinatown Metrorail stations, and also offers ample taxi availability, street parking, and multiple commercial parking garages conveniently located within steps of the entrance.
The facility offers both standard commercial rates and non-profit discounted rates for every space within the venue. Multi-room and multi-date events may be eligible for additional rental discounts.
