The Muscular Dystrophy Association
(MDA) is a voluntary health agency; a dedicated partnership
between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering
neuromuscular diseases that affect more than one million
Americans. MDA combats neuromuscular diseases through
worldwide research programs, comprehensive medical and
community services and far-reaching professional and
public health education.
Geppetto Catering supports MDA’s
remarkable efforts toward therapeutic advances for the
eventual eradication of neuromuscular disorders through
financial contributions. Additionally, Geppetto Catering
donates meals for the volunteers who work at the annual
Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon.
Children’s Cancer Foundation

The Children’s Cancer Foundation
is committed to raising funds for research and treatment
of cancers that affect children, and for the construction
of facilities to accommodate such research and care.
All contributions made to the Foundation are used to
fund research conducted by the National institutes of
Health, as well as funding expansion and research of
local hospitals.
Geppetto Catering’s supports
the Foundation through financial contributions as well
as donating catering services during the Children’s
Cancer Foundation Telethon, one of the organization’s
leading annual fundraisers.

for Teaching Entrepreneurship

The mission of the National Foundation
for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) is to provide entrepreneurial
instruction to low-income students, ages 11 though 18.
This mentoring program enables students to become productive
members society by improving their academic, business,
technological and life skills.
Geppetto Catering's sponsorship of a local high school
provides seed money and supplies, enabling students
to create their own businesses. This mentoring program
helps participating students shape their ideas into
viable business plans that may be selected for consideration
in a national competition for young entrepreneurs.
Goodwill of Greater Washington

Goodwill of Greater Washington’s
mission is to educate, train, employ and place people
with disadvantages and disabilities, creating a stronger
workforce and a more vital community while building
dignity for the people they serve through the removal
of barriers to personal success.
Geppetto Catering provides financial
contributions as well as catering services for events
held by local metropolitan chapters of Goodwill Industries.
In addition, Geppetto Catering employs graduates of
Goodwill Industries’ training programs.

Performing Arts
